Day 6:
Today I am thankful for my parent's example. Today my parents are celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary. My parents were high school sweethearts and they are proof that Love still exists and marriages can really last forever. I have always known that my parents have loved each other and I know that they will stay married and love each other forever come what may. They have had their share of tests and trials but they have always weathered the storms of life together. I am thankful that I have a dad who has shown me how a woman deserves to be treated and respected. I am thankful that my parents have shown me that people really do fall in love and stay in love and mean what they say when they say for better or for worse, and I'll love you forever. After my divorce my thoughts of love and marriage changed drastically but seeing all the amazing examples I have around me and looking at my parents example gave me great hope that it does still exist and is very real. My parents may not be perfect but their love for each other is real and they are perfectly happy loving and accepting each other regardless of their imperfections. Thank you mom and dad for giving me hope and showing me that families are forever. I love you both, happy anniversary!!
